verbatim dvd double layer

    i saw some dvd double layer disc at the store the other day
    it says it can hold up to 8.5 gigs....i was wondering what games will need this disc..thx

    it was most likly a flipper disc ...which is not a doubble layer just a doubble sided disc having 4.7 gigs on each side

    I have read that they are deveoping comercial dual layer burner and disc which should be good as that will no doubt be where things are heading

    hi c7015 just to bring you upto date the dual layer writers are out there now pioneer, liteon, sony, nec and a few more company's make them and the writers arn't that expensive unlike the dual layer media(which is still rather expensive)

    hey thanks for the info didint realize they had developed them so fast might look into getting one soon..or maybe when that format becomes more popular
