today i started burning my dvd's on the verbatim dvd-r 8x discs. i had been using maxell till i ran out. it may just be my imagination but the picture on playback on the verbatims seems a little darker than the maxells. the maxells look more vibrant and colorful. again, this may just be me looking too hard for something to be wrong. other than that they burn and play perfectly.
    any thoughts?

Discs just hold 0s and 1s, regardless if it's video, music, or data.

I used TDK and Maxell at first, too, and just recently switched to Verbatim. I haven't noticed any color change in mine.
