That is the problem :S i have a Pioneer 109 (IDE) and a 212D (SATA) and when recording CDs or DVDs with nero both give me verify errors. I just formated and record my first dvd in the 212d and still happends. Im recording at 4x, 6x and 8x, the same problem, i have no buffer underruns, the media is Verbatim, I buy 2 bulks of 50, and it started to happend in the midle of one of them, so, the media is fine I think. I have the last firmware in the Pioneer 109 (IDE), after I burn i have no problem to copy the files to the disk or anithing in the PC, but my philips DVD cant read the disc (i heard it making a lot of noise trying to read it) This is the log from nero: 212D Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: - ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Archivos de programa\Ahead\Nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 26/10/2004 06:35:34 p.m. Nero Version: 6.6.0.16 Internal Version: 6, 6, 0, 16b Recorder: <PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-212D>Version: 1.09 - HA 2 TA 0 - 6.6.0.16 Adapter driver: <SI3112r> HA 2 Drive buffer : 2000kB Bus Type : via Inquiry data (1) -> ATAPI, detected: ? You might want to flush all the temp files on your drive, then do a defrag and change the Windows TEMP & TMP environment variables to a new location. Making sure that the new location has plenty of space for temp files. Might also want to check the Swap / Virtual Memory file to make sure it is large enough.
I have cleared temp files before burn. I have no underun problems and the system has been installed 1 week ago, i dont think that fragmentation can be a problem now, but its defragmenting now. The current location has more than 5Gb free and swap is in a drive different from the system. So..i dont think the problem can be cause of one of that things. The error I post of the 109 is not more important than the one with the 212d, because when 109 burns a DVD and verify i have the same errors. Sorry for my english :S thanks again
