Okay, when I use my PC microphone to either talk to people online or record audio, for some reason my voice is slowed down and chopped automatically. So talking normally my voice sounds like some kinda demon and is not recognisable or understandable. I have checked where the mic is plugged in (pink socket), I have looked at audio settings (which are not muted), I have reinstalled software (problem persists), I have searched for troubleshooting guide (none for recorded audio slowing down automatically). Is there any suggestions? Only other info I can give is that I use audacity to record things, maybe a setting on audacity??? Help, Please!

Mic - Philips SPC 200NC (Seperate Mic)
Computer - IQon, 256ram, 26.4GB Hardrive space, WINDOWS XP
