By the way, I'm about to buy the VGA HD AV cable when I realise that at the back of the package by microsoft, it says only suport 480p and 720p.

What about 1080i and the 1080p? Will the be supported if i buy the cables?

HAA... I noticed the same thing also back when I picked one up. I thought "what the hell... this can't be right...". But don't worry, it supports the higher res.

And just to mention, don't know about smaller monitors, but it made a big difference compared to the component cables on my 42" LG plasma. It was worth the $$$ to me.

yep, same here. have mine set on 1080i and the VGA gives a great picture on my 56" DLP. I did not even bother hooking up the component cables, i went strait for the VGA when i bought it.
