I have just purchased AVerMedia DVD EZMaker (pci card) and the indtructions indicate hooking audio to Line In jack on sound card. Dont have just have speaker out Line Out and Mike In. I'm a newbie but I think I'd use the Mike jack. Anyone out therewho can advize? The VHS has only composite video no SVideo.

Well if the Mic Jack is the Only input on your Sound card then that is the Input you will have to use...Just Make sure you configure windows to Record for the Mic Jack and configure the Capture software to record from the Mic Jack....
