I have home movies on VHS that I would like to burn on DVD. I must be able to connect my VCR to the computer. I just don't know what hardware I need and how to proceed. If anyone has already done this, I would appreciate some help. Thanks a bunch.
You can buy one of these: http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProd..._Id=&Section_Id=1657&pcount=&Product_Id=88962 It works great. I used it to convert all my VCR video cam tapes to DVD. Yea. I know. It ain't cheap! But it works! I found it cheaper here: http://www.smarthome.com/6374.html
I use a Gateway DVD Recorder. It replaces the vcr for recording from tv. I connect the vcr to the recorder, record the vhs to dvd, then use dvd shrink on computer to create movies.
