Video file from windows media player to DVD?

    What is the best way to take a video file from my windows media player and be able to wacth it on tv?
    Do I need to use a DVD or can I use a CD?
    Please some one, shine a little knowledge on this poor newbie.

    The best way in my opinion is to use nero vision express NVE. You can make a VCD or DVD. In other words if the video file isn't to big you could just make it a in VCD format which would be a CD. For larger projects you can make a DVD. This can all be done in NVE. If you don't have it you can download the 30 day trial version from nero's sight and see if it's right for you. The program is pretty straight foward and it walks you through every step so it is also easy to use. Give it a try :)
