I just received a Swedish DVD. It has Video-TS folder. My DVD player comes up with "wrong region". My computer knows the title but I only get the two folders audio-ts and video-ts, so I can not run the movie. Does anyone know why? Can I view this movie somehow?

The disk has the wrong region code for your DVD player. Your computer DVD drive most likely won't play it either.

    Thanks for the reply.

I just learned what region even means yesterday.

My DVD player only reads region 1 or "ALL".

My computer program allows me to change the region so I was able to play the "Region 2" DVD.

You may be able to change your DVD player to play all regions. Many players have a Region-free code number which you press into the remote control. What is the maker and model?

The DVD player/recorder is an Aspire Digital model AD-8090. The documentation states units sold in North America are coded for Region 1, and are compatible with discs marked accordingly.
