I've ripped, compressed and burned countless DVDs using mac the ripper, DVDRemaster, and Toast Titanium, but I've just ripped a DVD which will play perfectly using DVD Player, but is 6.34GB so requires compression. When I try to compress it using DVDRemaster, It says that it has successfully compressed the file to 4.34GB, but the output file is only 2.2GB. When I try to play the output file on DVD Player or VLC, it only plays to a specififc point, and then the video stops proggressing, but the audio is fine and keeps going for the rest of the movie. I've tried re-compressing many times, even with the DVD-Downsizing module rather than the DVD-Reqauntisizer with no success. Any advice?

Sounds like some kind of disc error to me. Re-rip it or try dvd2onex to compress it.
