So I bought myself a DVD recorder inorder to record films & stuff for my dad... & myself...

His DVD Skantic DV 900 does not play the DVD created by the Pioneer - I et bad disc on EP output format.

Now when I try the DVD on my PC (XP OS), nothing happens except DVD device seem to spinning but file explorer hangs...

For dad's DVD i can try other output format SP, Fine... but that probably wont work... I have to take a DVD created by my Pioneer & test on a new DVD player in the store...

What about the PC? Since my file explore hangs i need to find out why... I need update on PC SW for OS and maybe commercial viewer & to ripp DVD and chnage format? What? Please advise!

Make sure you've finalized the disc using your recorder. It will play back in your Pioneer if it's not finalized but you won't be able to play it in any other machines.
