I have my DVD ripping guide, I read it, I understand it, but it don't work.

Right now my problem is the ViryualDub.
When I open the pseudo-AVI I created with VFAPIConvert, I get the message:

"Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'vifp'(unknown)

VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW)
compatible codecs to decompress video. Directshow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable."

    What am I doing wrong???

If I remember correctly there is a batch file you need to run to install the codec. The batch file is called something like vfapiset.bat and is in your vfapi directory. I think I also saw it stated that this had to be run before you convert your file though I don't know the validity of that statement myself.
