    thnx this is very helpful. just got a question, one do you mean HDD?

    so source file is my video i want to convert, destination folder is where i want the convertred video to be and i set the aspect ratio and the standard, so now all i got to do is click convert? do i have to check "Burn with CopytoDVD"?

    so i can just use the converter and burner that you told me about. so if i use those and burn a disk, i can watch my movies on my standalone dvd player? i dont have to do any type of authoring or stuff like that?

    No its only use is to test codec operation.

    hey i just wanna say thanks every thing you told me worked just right and now i can finally burn movies. if i have any more problems i will definately let you know.
