Hi all, I have been using virtualdubmod for sometime now and have just come across this error message when trying to open a avi movie movie: "Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'XVID' (unknown). Virtualdub requires a video for windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable. Only 'Direct stream copy' is available for this video." I have used Gspot and avicodec to verify if i have all codecs installed and it says that i do. So am i missing something here that i need to install?
If, opening the Video__Compression, you can't see the XVID codec there's a problem: Virtualdub cannot recognize it. Dunno, what about uninstalling it and re-installing it?
