i have a virus on my pc and need to get it off is there any free thing that i can use to get it off?

My advice go to cnet and techrepublic and look for articles regarding how to protect your computer while online,but before you do make sure you have a firewall enabled and up to date,antivirus and a good realtime spyware scanner as well as updating your copy of windows
