anyone out there know how to get volume back on the pc. had to clean the whole pc. everything downloaded except the volume. cannot adjust it as it is not there. thanks....
Another useful tip bilbo... Moved to appropriate forum. Have you right clicked on your "speaker" icon in the systray or checked the audio properties via control panel? http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/accessibility/soundvolume.mspx Did all of the necessary drivers install upon the reformat?
Try reinstalling the audio drivers. If you have a sound card, visit the sound card's mfg website. If it's onboard sound, visit the motherboard website or run the driver disc that came with it. A lot of times Windows update will give you optional driver updates if it's a MS signed component.
