Hi, I have a dvd burnt with Pioneer DVD recorder and I want to copy it to dvd- so it plays in my player. I need to convert a VRO to VOB or AVI, is there any freeware available to do this as I only need to do it once and don't want the expense of purchasing AVSmedia converter. Thanks in advance

I think you can copy the VRO to your disk and give it an mpg extension for best results with some software. I believe ISOBuster will also extract the mpg file to your hard disk.

There are any number of programs that will allow you to make a DVD:

    NeroVision (free trial): http://www.nero.com
    ConvertXtoDVD (free trial): http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/
    TMPGEnc Author (free trial): http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda20.html
    divXtoDVD (free): http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/vso_divxtodvd_guide.cfm
    etc.

Do a search for mpg to DVD and you'll find a bunch.

    Edit: added text below

TMPG will accept VRO files as direct input. I think NeroVision and ConvertX may as well, but I'm not sure since I've never had the occasion to try.
