want to burn dvd to cd

    i want to burn some of my dvd movies to cd so i can watch them on my laptop which doesn't have a dvd drive. how or can this be done.i have heard that it can,if so where can i get step by step instu.and what do i need.i have a cdrw and a dvd on home pc.any input on this would be great,thx

    thanks,so vcd/svcd's can be viewed on reg.cdrom.

    I really dont mess with VCD,SVCD & on the rare occasion that I have I've only been interested in playing VCD/SVCD on my Sony 305 DVD Player connected to TV.

    I've not even tried playing on CD-Rom

    the best program to convert dvds to vcds is DVD-DUP which can be aquired at gamecopyworld.com

    you will need a third party player to view them at there best though, i use cyberlink, i think media plays them as well but not as good
