is it an actual message that says 'this disc is copy protected' or does it just crap out? could the disc be dirty? scratched? are your system resources free? i.e. no other programs?

everything else was shut down, anti virus etc etc
    media is good,from blockbuster though
got message "can no longer continue this disc is copyrighted" or something along those lines
i have backed up numerous videos before, but not a warner bros disc.
pain in the ass,i would use dvd decrypter normally to get around these sorts of problems but i have no disc space available at the minute.
tried using nero recode but dont know how to use it.
    regards hursty.

If you want to do this one, you need to download the trial for anydvd or maybe try dvd43 free. If not then you're going to have to free up some hard drive space because Recode won't work with encrypted files.

i did that movie with no trouble at all
    shrink was all i used

you have to rip it with decrypter first, then import it
