Do not purchase or order anything from International Gaming World (IGW) or Supermodz. I just lost $300 ($170 PS2 console + $130 chip/mod fee). After sending my console over a month ago, IGW sent me a note on 2/24 that Paypal have frozen their account. I also got a reply from Supermodz (see long story below) that tells me they're under new management and they will not honor any past orders. So we'll see what happens. IGW said that they agreed to return my console + a DMS3 chip. As of today (3/1) I have not heard nor received anything. The long story: --------------- Based on the positive reviews from this forum I sent IGW my PS2 V7 console on 1/21 to get it modded with DMS3 chip. (note 1) I sent my console to International Gaming World, 3654 Ruffin Rd. Suite B, San Diego CA, 92123. FYI, the same address is also posted here: www.internationalgamingworld.com/contact.html (note 2) The Paypal receipt however shows Supermodz.com as the company name. Later during emails exchange, I have received replies from both staff@ internationalgamingworld.com and firstname.lastname@example.org so I conclude they are partners or belong to one organization On 1/29 I got an email from them saying that they have received my system, that they would work on it right away, and that they would ship it back and email me the tracking # the next day. From this point on, I'd email them every 3-4 days but always got similar respond. I was never able to reach them via phone. On 2/23 I received the following note from email@example.com, and I quote "NEW SUPERMODZ MANAGEMENT Sorry To Say... Due To Previous Activities You Might Not Receive Your System. All Past Transactions Are No Longer Active With Us." I wrote them a good faith note and reqested that they would at least return _my_ PS2 console and refund the $55 they charged for the DMS3 chip. I told them that I am willing to give up the $75 I paid for their service. On 2/24 I received conflicting responds: 1) firstname.lastname@example.org wrote that he agreed to ship my console back + a DMS3 in lieu of the $55. 2) email@example.com wrote that they will not send/return anything back, and I quote "The Past Orders Were With A Different Person. Best Advice I Can Give You Is Too Get A Refund via Paypal. And Take It Up With The Ex-SuperMod Ok?". For all I care this 'new management' could just be the same guy. As of today (3/1) I have not heard anything nor received my console back.
