wasn't thinking

    I lost the password to an older comp of mine, i havn't used it in a couple months and I was wondering if you guys knew how to earse, crack, or bypass the login password for winXP! I can't format the drive cause there is info on there that i need. thanks in advanced

    Not much I can help you there. Next time you create an account with a password, add a hint to help you remember.

    I tried using live cd Ophcrack but that didn't help

    I have a disk called "pc tools 2007" with heaps of system tools and various warez on it.. lol

    Can't tell you where to find it, but it has a little application called xpass which runs from the disk, and can reveal passwords in windows boxes.

    There is another option with a linux live cd, but I can't really say any more about that without letting too much of a cat out of the bag.

    I have a bartPE that does the same -jan-

    Try going into safemode and try to change the password, if its critical to grab the info off the HDD then connect it to another PC as a slave drive and access it that way.
