I used to be able to do this, unfortunately I forget what I did.

I'd like to back up dvds onto my hard drive and watch them using windows media center or player.

I've tried dvd decrypter and dvd fab and they will rip the dvd to my pc but when I drill down to the directory I get the message "no video files found"

What can I do? Do I have to rip these with a particular setting?

Usually programs will only see it as a movie if the VTS files are in a VIDEO_TS folder. That may be the problem.
