When I convert DIVX/XVID to VCD,I can get can the picture quality fine, but the sound is jumpy! Its exactly the same when I play the wave file on its own in Media Player, and it doesn't even work in Winamp,it says that a Nullsoft waveform decoder v2.05a is mising. I've looked everywhere for this codec but cannot find it!does anybody have any suggestions on how I can get the sound better or where I could find a codec that will play the sound properly?I use Vdub to save the wav file, and TMPGenc to convert to VCD. Thanks for reading.

if you save a seperate wave file then try this instead and see if there is any difference!

open the original avi in virtualdub

    1. click video - direct stream copy
    2. click audio - full processing mode
    3. click audio - compression, select no compression ocm and click ok
    4. click file - save avi

now try and encode using tmpgenc and see if it makes a difference!
