    LOL! Yeah...I am SO sure.

    Remember this thread...

    http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/6238.cfm

I seriously don't see why not. Even IF students use THEIR servers and computers, they will more than likely get in trouble and the school would be sued as well.

Generating MORE money for the greedy companies.

Some day the RIAA will not be around anymore, thanks to p2p. I can only hope.

I used to buy dvd's but like my FAVORITES only...the ones that I knew were great movies.

But I gave them up, and just didn't bother anymore.

    Haven't bought a dvd since.

Haha, maybe they sue kids from elite universities... like Harvard to make an example out of them but I hardly think the RIAA can touch me in the UK...

Ive tried Bit-torrent (+various BT clients)
    Soulseek
    Ares
    Kazaa Lite

Ive tried them all with the firewall options all ticked as well and nothing

Who knows WHATS going to happen, indie.

But just the fact that they are doing that, is ridiculous. They don't think that they are going to just do it after they leave college, or MAKE a student say, create a program to block ports from the MPAA and RIAA, i.e.PeerGuardian?

Their tactics are ridiculous, and the only reason why they are trying to keep a strangle hold on the world is because they know they are going to lose ground to the same technology that they so embraced.

Only time will tell, which universities they hit, but I you right when you say they will more than likely go after Hardvard, because of the breach in the early admissions site they had a couple of weeks ago.

    Did you read about that?

PeerGuardian works right? because I use it all the time and it blocks a lot but does that mean that they can not tell what I am doing.

Better wrap the hard drive, your computer, and you with tin foil so as not to have those RIAA and MPAA surveilance satellites tracking you!

    LOL!

    ;)

Same here...I couldn't get them to work out as well, I think they actually block the word content through the meta tags. But that is just my theory.
