hi guys, I really need your help on this one: never had any problem with my burner (nero on w2k)until I installed the service pack 4 last week. now i can't burn audio cds in DAO...but I can still burn up to 4 songs... all the drivers are fine, ASPI ok...what's going on?? I've been everywhere on the net, but no luck. could it be related to window 2000 service pack 4? (of course i tried to uninstall the pack but it did not get back to normal) can it be related to the amout of memory left on my HD? Well it's highly possible m8. I've read more negative about servive pack 4 for Win2k than positive. Be sure you have no ASPI conflicts. Check Neo info tool to get additional info on your burner. Shoey
thanks but I just cleaned up my HD this morning, got plenty of space now but still no luck. all the ASPI layers seem fine, there's no conflict as far as i know. is it worth reinstalling window, do you think? cheers stef
Wowzers ASPI 4.57. Consider upgradin to ASPI 4.60 (1021), a much more reliable build IMO. Does it happen for any audio cd you try to burn in DAO? DAO/96? And yeah... It is important to note however that even if the InfoTools states that the System ASPI is installed correctly, if the version numbers do not match, it is not installed correctly. I'll try to upgrade to 4.60 ASAP, see if it make a difference. I can burn any data cd. tried to burn 4 songs (about 30 minutes worth of music) in DAO and it worked, more than this it doesn't. in DAO 96 (don't know what it does) nero is burning the full disc, but it doesn't work on my cd player (is it normal?) cheers, stef
Not all players can read DAO and DAO96 discs. Can you successfully burn with Track-At-Once (TAO) mode?
had so many things to do... i've updated the firmware and now i don't even have the TAO option for audio cd :{
