i have this Sony vaio laptop i just installed windows xp pro , and after install i checked my computers properties and looked at the proc speed and it said 694Mhz then i restarted and it said 894mhz which is what it sopsoe to be so every so often it will go to 694mhz and switch back , is this just software error or something is wrong with the cpu? i never seen this before...
I have a time 7321, which should b running at 1.4ghz but every so often it goes down to 490mhz, but it works fine so i am not bothered
I'm not positive about this or could be completely off, but I seem to remember hearing something about some mobile processors slowing down to conserve power? Something like that? The force themselves to run at a lower clock speed and vcore to save power. I dunno, it could just be a software glitch. Maybe I'm the one glitching, lol.
