Hey, this is a fairly weird problem I ran into about 45 minutes ago... I have a 6800GS 512mb video card overclocked with RivaTuner to 500/1200 (default is 425/1000), and I was playing Battlefield 2 when it was overclocked. This was on the lowest the video settings could go, at 1024/756 screen resolution. At that, I was getting about around 50 fps. Now here's the weird thing... I close BF2 and went to the defaults on RivaTuner so the card runs at 425/1000 and started BF2 again. I changed all the settings to the highest they will go (but stayed at 1024/768) and I will now get around 30-40fps... This is really weird.... Can anyone explain why it is doing this? Thanks!
The weird thing is that I think even when I play at 800x600, with the details all up and have the overclocked card I'm still getting around 20fps... I would think that I would get at least 50 with the overclock and 800x600. Btw, what will increase frames more, the core clock or the memory clock? Thanks
