Welcome to our new forum room that's meant for PVR devices. PVR devices are stand-alone boxes that are basically "digital videos" -- boxes equipped with HDD and MPEG-2 en/decoding chip -- that store analog and digital video to digital MPEG-2 format on the device's HDD, just like good olde VCRs do for tapes.

Best known PVR devices are TiVo (available at least in States and in the UK), ReplayTV (U.S.)[/i] and Sky+ (UK and Ireland), but virtually all the "better" digital TV set-top boxes sold in Europe have PVR capabilities as well.

This forum is meant strictly for discussing about these "stand-alone" devices, not PCs equipped with capture card and scheduler software.
