    this thread made for interesting reading. Is it dead yet? Nope, I have to throw my opinion in here. Rank means nothing, hang around long enough and you'll know who's posts you want to read and who's you can skip. I'm of the opinion that there should be a special level that you get promoted to through the admins, and I could think of a handful that should be there now.

    considering that the requirement is multiplied by 5 for each ascending rank (i.e 100-500, 500-2500) the next rank would require 12.5k posts and i agree with you in that the title should be custom that has been approved by some mods/admins
