I'm a new slide card/swap magic user with a v7 ps2. I've looked around here and seen that DVD+ or - should be fine as long as the media is good and the burn is slow. (I've seen the list of best media on here already.)

My question is, does it matter as much what kind of actual burner I use? I assume that newer and faster burners are better in general, but the whole point is to burn at 1x or 2x right? Any guidelines for me?

(By the way, I will be adding an internal DVD-writing drive to my existing computer, a 4 year old Gateway)

I use a Liteon 8X DVD-R/+R have had no problems with it whatsoever, basically you can't really go wrong when buying one as almost all on the market now do both DVD+R and DVD-R

thanks, i guess it doesn't matter too much. i'll probably buy a pioneer or something for like $100 if it's sufficient.
