Will sony see that and will ban your system IP forever? Or will the game simply not work online? and not ban you from sony?

first, you have to burn it with an online patch specifically for that game. and the only way they will ever know your playing a burt game is if the original copy is only at the same time. then u will be banned.

Many older games that allow you to play online work fine without even having to patch the game. The only reason why you have to patch newer games is because Sony servers do a DNS check on the disc to make sure the game is actually real.

And yes, if you do not have newer games patched or sony recognizes that your game is a duplicate, Sony will be able to ban you from playing online through them. What will happen is you will not be able to go past the initial screen when signing online, it will simply hang on the connecting screen forever.
