I am new to this, and someone told me to check out using a torrent client, I have never tried this, so I am confused on what to do, if anyone could tell me how "torrent"ing is done, and what is the best client out there for it? and best torrent webpage as well.

Any, and all help will be appreciated.

http://www.dessent.net/btfaq/#what a bit dated but gives the basics. utorrent or Bittornado are good clients. Azureus is probably the best but can be a bit complicated. BitLord is banned on most private sites and BitComet is banned on one I use but I think that's due to an earlier versiom.
