In DVD2SVCD you have a choice of either CCE or TMPenc, as i am having probs getting certain DVD standalone players to read 'NO DISK', is there a preferred encoder to use which has a good success rate. Also DVD2SVCD has the facility to create a CD image, however when i burn with Nero the cd isnt readable afterwards. Any ideas?

Read our guide on burning images with Nero from here:

And TMPGEnc or CCE doesn't make any difference on how the SVCD plays on your stand-alone, it's up to your stand-alone, nothing else. The actual CD image creation and structure creation is made by VCDImager in DVD2SVCD, whichever encoder you choose to use. Only difference between CCE and TMPGEnc is that some people think that CCE gives you better video encoding quality than TMPGEnc -- however this is debatable as well.
