I have lots of .RM files and I want to keep them as VCD.
So I have to convert them to mpeg.
To my great surprise ,i takes me more than 5 hours to finish converting with EOvideo.
By the way ,the video is as long as 52 min.
    my pc:
    athlon 2000+
    512M sdram
    ----------------------------
I just want to know whether anyone has done this like me and what's the speed.
What tool do u suggest for converting RM to MPEG?

Actually that is pretty good conversion time m8. I have yet to convert a .rm file to mpeg, but I have done dvd2divx backups using Vidomi on a AthlonXP 1.7+ and it takes me about 5 hours average to encode (2-pass).

    Shoey :)

Other than converting .rm files, what formats m8? (DivX, VCD, SVCD)

    Shoey :)

At the same bps,the quality of RMVB is certain to be much better than wmv/asf/avi.

So I usually get .RMVB files!
