What kind of dvd's should i use to burn my ps2 games, dvd-r or +r's? I have the old fatty ps2 and im almost sure its version 1 because i got it two weeks after the ps2 came out. I'm planning on ordering swap magic 3.6 soon. Thank you for any help.

I have been using DVD-R's and have had great luck. I recently bought some sony dvd+r's and only 1 game out of 10 worked so i would stick with -R's. But I am using the new version ps2 (Silver) with a magic duo 3, so it may be trial and error for a while with your system.

I also have the old fat PS2 and i'm using SM 3.6. I have had the best luck with DVD-R's. I have never got a DVD+R to work without skipping. You should have no problem with DVD-R's as long as it is 1ST Class media. Check out this link for the different types of media you can use. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/303681

The first versions of the ps2 cannot read +r (there have been a few exceptions).
