WHAT KIND OF DVD'S

    what kind of dvd's to put backups games on. do i need to buy double layer 8 gig or so dvd's or just the normal dvd's the 4. something gigs

    Dvd5's (4.7Gb) discs, not dual layered or RW either. Also, ps2 v1-4 only take dvd-r's, some v4's can handle both, and v5+ can take either.

    Normally what works best is dvdr 4x max discs burned at 1x or 2x. Also, look around for the good brands like Verbatim datalife plus, Philips, HP, Taiyo Yuden, etc. Don't use generic media.

    i live in canada and i use for my movies vci dvd's the company sells for jvc. i was using MEMOREX but movies were freezing after one hour or so. on forums they say that it was probably the ink on the back. SHOULD I USE THE VCI BRAND FOR GAMES IF THEY ARE GOODE FOR MOVIES

    You can definitely try, games are much pickier when it comes to media than movies are though.
