what software can i use to edit mpeg2 files?

hi,
please could someone tell me what software i can use to edit mpeg2 files because i dont want to convert them to avi and loose out on quality etc. adobe premiere said the bitrate of my mpeg2 files were unsupported and movie maker said there was a interface problem. so is there any other programmes i could use to edit mpeg2 files that have good transition tools and effects?

hey,
i checked that thread but didnt find anything that helped me, but someone recommended i try using Wonble DVD-VCR i think it is...so ill try using that.
