what's a aspi?

    I use the vcd galaxy dvdrip combopack and when i try to rip a dvd movie it says "aspi instialisation failed" what does that mean?and what's a aspi? please help thanks.

    its a driver.
    download one for your o/s. its for communicating with your dvdrom when reading digital audio.

    ASPI is the Communication Layer between the Software and Hardware, it enables Windows to "talk" to the devices in your system, mainly it was used for SCSI devices, but ever since IDE recorders showed up, it was added the translation from SCSI/IDE in the ASPI

    Till now, the best and ONLY recommanded version for the ASPI is v4.60 Build 1021, it DOES work on 2000 and XP without ANY problems.
