Whats a good DvD-Rom for riping DvDs?

    What makes a DvD-Rom Better for riping? Is it just speed ? Or any thign else come into play.

    they are all just about the same, i usally go for a branded one like LG or phillips, but my mate has cheap one and it works great, they all rip at around 2-4 speed

    liteon are quite a good make, i have used them in the past without any problems

    I have just got a 16X Liteon , ripping has gone from 30 mins ( pioneer a04 ) to 10 / 15 mins.

    I have a Liteon and it reads at an average of 4-5X,never had a problem
