   What is the best freeware to copy protected cd's.
   
   I've been using Nero but I ran into a cd that was protected. I downloaded Alcohol 120%, it worked great but, I think it's only a trial version...

   If you want to copy PC games you're going to have to pony up and buy one - no freeware for this.
   
   BlindWrite, Alcohol 120% and CloneCD are all good ones.

   For copy protected audio CDs try ripping them with Exact Audio Copy then burn the WAVs back to disc.
