What's the best gaming motherboard for AMD 64bit

    HI, can someone tell me what the best gaming motherboard is to go with an AMD Athlon 64bit processor please.

    Also does anyone now any good uk stores or websites to order computer components from.

    Though I can't provide specific models, Abit and Asus should make your short list of boards to look at. Definite quality and performance with those two :)

    Both the ASUS A8V and the Abit AV8 are superb boards (now that ive had personal experience with both) :)

    Never had the pleasure of a Abit AV8 myself has yet but it is one to keep in mind for the future.I think i will more than likely stick with the Asus though when i next upgrade and thats is just because i have never had a reason to complain about them as they are pretty good mob.Have you had any experience with the gigabyte mob Praetor as my mate has one wich performs pretty well.

    Ive not dealt with GB myself in recent history but from my past experiences and what ive read, they have very good boards as well as not-so-great boards but i dunno... no hands on experience with them for some time now :)

    I was looking at the Abit KV8 on Abits website.
    I'm thinking of getting it. Do you think I should?

    I'm sure if Praetor said it a superb board it will be has he is pretty good person to take advice from when it comes to mob graphic card and overlocking pc's.I'm sure you will find it to be a great mob.

    Will the AV8 take an athlon 64 or just an
    Athlon 64 fx.
    If so will the KV8 be a better option.
