What's the best quality free DIVX/XVID player?

    I have just entered the world of DIVX etc & read online that the official player is mediocre.
    Will i get better quality using a different player?
    I will be playing downloaded AVI files & have a 1.2 MHz processor 256 Ram & plenty of room on my hardrive._X_X_X_X_X_[small]Thanks very much,

    :/ how about Windows Media Player 9...
    any player that uses directshow will be able to play DivX files.
    All u need to do is install the codec.

    yea, i would go with the original divx player that can be found at www.divx.com or you could download it from CNET at www.downloads.com!!
