Actually I got it from our esteemed drchips who very unfortunately hasn't been around for some time. That guy has a wicked sense of humor. There was one thread in Saftey Valve quite a while ago where some wanna be hacker script kiddie was trying to threaten him so he gave the kid his IP address and told the kid to take his best shot. Meanwhile he did some packet traces and got the kids full name, home address and the whole nine yards then posted just enough of the info so the kid knew he'd been found out. That kid couldn't apologize fast enough after that. The thread title had to do with "Are there more trolls here lately" or something to that effect and is really worth finding. It's still the singlemost entertaining thread I've ever seen here.

was a good read, a friend of mine does that on occasion & leaves a message on that individual's screen. no problem from that individual again!!!

There was another where some kid wanted to get back at someone and was asking how to have hundreds of emails sent to the guy he didn't like so drchips very seriously told the kid to that if you respond to spam they'll mail you back and ask if you want to sign anyone else up at which point he could enter the addy of the guy he didn't like. He told the kid to respond to every spam he got for at least two weeks. I always wondered if the dummy actually did it.
