    Hey guys,

Just a little bit of a newbie question for ya. When is the compression level to high. I use shrink and have been compressig around lvl 5 and down, and have been having brief moments in my movies where they freeze for a instant second.

the first thing you need to do is get the new version of dvd shrink. Secondly, ive compressed movies at 40% and had no problems.

Occassionally on dvds from the manufacturers you will get pauses for a split second, this is usually at the transition of scenes. It is down to poor quality on the manufacturers part, just as out of synch sound! Compression should not cause this, but it is possible it may accentuate any pauses. Generally high compression results only in the loss of picture quality. Hope this helps.
    Good luck & happy burning!!
