Gainesville, VA. I'm about an hour east of Venom. I officiate HS basketball and I used to do games in Stephens City (think it was James Wood(?), but haven't been there for a while.

Interesting to see all the different locations. I grew up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi (someone on here is in Ocean Springs), and I have a son in Olympia (for all you WA people).

I live in a tiny town in Louisiana Called Vidalia. Where the humidity can be 100% and it's not raining. Talk about sweating bullets.

I love our flag, and ddp is right. All people should love the flag of their native country.

I love the Union Flag, I am particularly fond of the Saltire (Scottish flag). Where I was born, BTW.

Unfortunately, in the UK, if you fly the flag you are condemned as a racist. There are many councils who refuse to fly the flag, just in case they might offend someone from an ethnic minority.

That really SUCKS. We Brits should be proud of it, not ashamed of it.

That is just CRAZY! How the hell does it make you racist to hold your own countries flag high?

The BNP (British Nationalist Party) are accused of being racist, they are said to want the English to reclaim their land, & basically send all the "foreigners" back from whence they came. they use the Union flag. Hence the link to racism!
