where do you look to see what version firmware you have?

    the question is in the title!

    and which is the latest, so I can play Mario Strikers on my NTSC console

    Hi mate.

    If you go to the settings menu, you can see the firmware in the top right of the screen. Mine is at 2.2E I think.

    Make sure that if the game you have it not the same region of your Wii then do not allow it to update the Wii.

    Instead before playing, goto settings and to system update to get the proper updates from Nintendo.

    As zmitha has stated go to the Wii settings and it will be in the top right corner. Make sure it is 2.2U before playing Mario Strikers.

    You still might get prompt to do the update even when your at the 2.2U version. It is ok to proceed with the update as long as you have the 2.2U firmware installed on your Wii.

    Mario Strikers will then check what firmware you have and notice you have already got 2.2U and then skip over the update.

    So as long as you have 2.2U firmware on your Wii you will be fine to do the update from Mario Strikers.
