I can't believe that no-one is willing to amswer this question, surely there is someone out there that knows how to fix it cause I've seen this Q asked a lot, so here it is from my last posting...
Well the subject says it all to those who know ofcourse.

When I've d/loaded a DivX avi movie and try to convert it to mpeg using TMPEGenc to make a VCD it stops and comes up with "illegal floating decimal point calculation order" There is obviously an error in the movie. But how do I over-come this.

I have upgraded to the latest TMPEGenc which allows the movie to finish, but when I play the movie the audio and video are out of sync after the bad sector.

I've taken out the bad frames with "VirtualDub 1.4.13" but the the video stops at that point where I cut and joined it, and the audio keeps going. I'm starting to get a backup of movies that need to be corrected. Can any1 help PLZ.

    ThanX in advance. BDU

when i have this exact problem, i click on video and then scan video stream for errors. then i reprocess it using the same video codec and audio compression as in the original. i only do this if the copy is worth saving. every time i've done this i have been able to process it to cd successfully to watch on my tv. hope this works. mike
