Had my Wii modded a few weeks ago but dont know which chip i have i dont really want to open my Wii up to find out.

The only information i can give to help figure it out is there is a green light showing through the vents on the back of the console.

The reason i ask is because its going to have to be updated to play mario galaxy.

Well it's not the WiiD, because I know that doesn't have an LED on it! I searched on Google and found this link:

    http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/247/62/

And it talks about the Cyclowiz, and it has a Green LED on the chip! So I think you would have a Cyclowiz!

Holdon. Some batches of the D2Ckey has a green led, BUT that sed it also has another led so if you just see one colour then you aint got a D2Ckey, and it says on there site that SMG works on D2C

Ya, so you either have the D2C, or the Cyclowiz, which both work for SMG! So you should be fine!
