hi i was wondering if an ATI graphcis card will run on this motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813128321 and which graphics card is best for this motherboard and why this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150185 or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814103019 thanks
As long as it's a PCI-E x16 card, then yes it will work. The nVidia chipset has nothing to do with it. As to which card is better, I don't know. If i were you I'd try to find some reviews on Anandtech or similar and compare the benchmark results.
The 7600GT will be much faster. Faster clock speeds, more horsepower. And no, the chipset on your motherboard will not matter for your video card.
@skyline: If you are going to take advantage of the SLI, with two video cards, the ATI won't work. The motherboard will allow use of one ATI card, but if you want to put in two, you have to put in NVidia PCIe video cards, I think.
thanks guys i just bought this one though , is it any good http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150212
I would get a different one. It comes with passive cooling so they lowered the clocks. Here's a different one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125028 Much better cooling and a nice overclock... plus it's cheaper.
yea but i think ill stick with this one because i already bought plus its 512 mb and the one u showed me was 256
