Question Which media player to stream and play via HD?

    Which media player will stream Showbox etc. and allow me to connect a hard drive to play a vast range of video formats, please?
    Not a smart TV so I assume it will need to be able to connect to the internet directly?
    Ideally something reasonably priced.
    Had the Mini WD player but didn't play many formats.
    Thanks in advance.

    an android box will stream show box and plays most video formats, you could also download vlc to it

    What about the computer your using.Not sure if hdmi cable can go over 5 meters without considerable signal loss.USB cable & or hub can take care of the mouse & keyboard either connected wired or wirelessly.yeah just a thought

    I'm not using a computer. Hard drive connected to a streamer which in turn is connected to the web. This allows for streaming via Showbox et al and to transfer video from laptop to hard drive to watch.
